welcome
September 28th, 2007
Hi! Welcome to the brand new RIT IV website! Compliments should be directed to Tim Peterson, Chris Mayers, and Jesse Decker. Apologies that at a school whose name ends with ‘Technology’ that it’s week four before this is up and running. But complaining and excuses are of no value here or anywhere else. This is the space where I’ll be regularly posting with any cool stories that we receive and letting you all know what kind of things Servant Team is working on. So if you have any stories you’d like to share, or even something original and creative (for all the poets out there), send them my way.
Right now Servant Team is getting geared up for the newly named September Jubilee this Sunday. It’s our first ever Jubilee, a meeting for IV regulars and anyone else interested in a look “under the hood” of IV (the car metaphor is a tribute to all the auto MechEs out there). We’ll be worshiping God together in music and prayer, as well as sharing cool stories of things He has done over the month of September. We’ll also be taking a look at the things we haven’t done well, and looking forward to the exciting month to come. I’m personally really excited hear about our fall and spring mission projects, including Habitat, Guyana, Toronto, and more (usually “and more” at the end of a list really means “that’s all there is’ but here the more is actually true).
CUPCAKES. Also very exciting. Make lots of unfrosted cupcakes. Meet lots of people. yum.
Have fun browsing the new site. Not all the content is up there yet. So for a while most of the site will be semi-dynamic. And of course, check back for more notes from me.
