2. Sports Night- if you enjoy playing volleyball, indoor soccer, or like cheering people on, come out to the Student Life Center this Wednesday from 7-9 PM. Volleyball will be in the Field House basketball courts and indoor soccer in the Field House Arena.
3. Large Group- this week we’re taking a break from the ordinary and worshiping God in the great outdoors. Join us Friday at the Greek Lawn at 6 PM for free food and fellowship. Paul Burress will then speak on who Jesus is and what that means for us. Rain location will be SDC 1300/1310 just like last week.
4. New Student Retreat- If you are a new student (freshman, transfer, or just started coming) don’t miss this opportunity to connect with other new students and the leaders of InterVarsity! About a half hour after large group we will be leaving RIT to go to a local church to spend the night playing games, getting to know each other, and of course, eat pancakes for breakfast in the morning. It’s really a great time to get out and have some fun while really starting to build friendships with others in InterVarsity. Bring a sleeping bag and change of clothes to Large Group this Friday, and we’ll take off afterwards for some fun and games. If you aren’t able or don’t want to spend the night, we’ll have some rides going back Friday night (or more likely early Saturday morning).
5. Ways to Help- if you’re interested in getting more involved with InterVarsity, we have several ways that you can. Contact Allison if you are interested in manning tables midday or afternoons this week. Contact Kyle if you would like to pray for Large Group, greet people, or be an MC.
6. Prayer Request Email- sometimes things come up in my life that I would like to request others to pray for. This year we have made it possible for anyone to get prayer about anything at any time through an email account for prayer requests. Send your request to our prayer team at ritprays@gmail.com and we will pray. And God is faithful.
May God grant you grace and peace in this second week of the quarter,
Arricka Nowland
