1. If you are interested in meeting and eating with the speaker this Friday, come join us at Dining Commons at 5:30 PM. Marian Noronha is an engineer that has used his company (Turbocam) in various ways to serve God. I don’t want to give too much away because you should also come to Large Group. You will have to provide the monies to pay for your food.
2. Prayer before Large Group is at 6:30 PM in the Atrium in Building 8 (A level, semi circle couches).
3. Marian Noronha will be speaking on “Working Above the Pay Grade: Serving God in the work you do“. Large Group, Friday, 7 PM in 8-1250. He brings lots of practical experience, so you should come and bring a classmate.
4. After Large Group, join us in prayer for all of the missions trips to Mexico, Guyana, Ohio, and Rochester.
5. If you’re a freshman, join the freshman for prayer and breakfast Saturday morning in Gracies at 11 AM.
6. Next Friday is our quarterly Service Night. We’ll be meeting at 6:30 PM (note the time change) to go out and serve our campus and the Rochester area. We’ll be cleaning bathrooms and doing dishes in the apartments (please bring bathroom cleaning supplies), prayer walking, writing thank you notes to FMS workers, cooking dinner at Dmitri House, and possibly serving at two other off campus locations. More details to come next week.
7. Afterwards, Jubilee Jamboree! Bring an instrument, your voice, energy, a testimony, and passion for worship!
8. After good interviews with three companies, Allison immediately received a co-op job offer with the company she least liked. She turned it down, confident that she would hear from one of the other two companies. But she didn’t. With Spring Quarter quickly approaching, she considered re-asking for the first co-op, even though it was out of state. But God had other plans. He opened up an opportunity for her to work at a company locally. He also provided Emily Howe with a co-op for Spring Quarter this week. God is good; He provides. Even “last minute”.
The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear or be dismayed. Take all the peole of war with you and arise, go up to Ai; see, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land. You shall do to Ai and its king just as you did to Jericho and its king; you shall take only its spoil and its cattle as plunder for yourselves. Set an ambush for the city behind it.”
Just like He did with 8th week.
