1. If you have ever been interested in emceeing at Large Group, you are interested in attending Kyle and Dave’s MC workshop tomorrow Wednesday at 9 PM in a classroom in 7-B. Contact Kyle (607-237-1025) or Dave (860-888-2471) to get the specific room number or just show up and find them.

2. Want a little more excitement in your life? Pray with your fellow students and see God move! Formal opportunities to pray every week:

  • Prayer for the campus: Fridays 12-2 PM in the RITreat
  • Prayer for Large Group: Fridays 6:30 PM on the A level of Building 8
  • Prayer by freshmen: Saturdays 11 AM in Gracies
  • Prayer by women (After Eight): Sundays 8 PM in 129 D Perkins
  • Prayer by men (Fight Club): Sundays 7:30 PM in 189 B Perkins
3. This week we’ll be hearing from each other on what God did through the missions trips that took place during Spring Break. This is an excellent opportunity for you to invite all of your friends who might that think going to Mexico means parties on the beach or staying in Rochester is plain, old boring. Even Average Joes are often interested in missions trips. Building 8, 1250 at 7 PM.

4. Also on Friday, the RIT Skeptics and the Interfaith Student Council are hosting a panel discussion between skeptics and Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, and Jews about ethics, morality and religion titled “Can You be Moral Without God?”. It is from 8-9:30 PM in the SAU Cafeteria.

5. After Large Group (or the debate) we are heading over to SDC 1300/1310 to hang out, play games, and eat with students from RITGA (RIT Gay Alliance) and our brothers and sisters from other Christian groups on campus, just like Jesus would have done. The purpose of this lock-in (no doors will be locked) is to meet people, hang out, and show that despite the diametrically opposed beliefs of the Christian and gay communities, we can still respect each other. Please bring games (there will be Xbox, PS3, and Wii) and if you want to bring a dinner type food, let Allison know.

6. Next week, after Large Group, is our quarterly Town Meeting! Come April 3rd prepared to celebrate what God is doing and help us know where He is going next! If you have something you think is important that we discuss, please let me know by Monday, March 30th at 5 PM.

7. If you’re interested in being a better leader, check out Connectology. Connectology, hosted by RIT Leadership Institute, is a free, all day set of workshops on Saturday, April 4th. Several Servant Teamers are going. Register or get more info here.

8. And how about a week of lifetime applicable training, fellowship with Christian students from around NY and NJ, worship, good food, and disc golf? Basileia is May 23-28th. Cost is $345 but there are lots of ways to pay, including scholarships. Talk to Mark about it.

And while you’re at it, pray about attending Urbana, InterVarsity’s triennial missions conference, with thousands of other Christians from around the world. December 27-31st in St. Louis, MO.
9.  Last week Servant Team decided to host parties to give us an excuse to hang out with the people we’re trying to reach. Although not all of the people came that Harry and Dave, Sara and Allison, or Troy and I invited and expected, each of us were able to have good conversations with the friends that did come. Jesus was right: loving people and having fun are often the same thing.
“Roll large rocks up to the mouth of the cave, and post some men there to guard it. But don’t stop! Pursue your enemies, attack them from the rear and don’t let them reach their cities, for the LORD your God has given them into your hand.”
