5. Women’s Appreciation Dinner is April 25th. If you are a woman and you have not yet replied, please reply soon here. And, invite your friends. If you are a man and you want to help serve, contact Joel.
6. Jeremy Simpkins’ talk on Jesus’ passion for us and our response is now available for listening on the IV website. I highly recommend it.
7. Even though they had never met in person, a friend of Matt Olpinski contacted him asking if he was involved in a Christian group at RIT. Matt invited her to IV and she came on Friday. Before and after IV she hung out with people and Ozzy and Matt invited her to attend The Father’s House with them on Sunday. She agreed to go on Sunday and also stated that she was happy that she had gone to IV unlike the several bad experiences with Christian groups she had had in the beginning of the year. On Sunday she attended The Father’s House. Pastor Pierre gave an altar call and started describing that if you felt like you did not know what to do, could hear a voice inside you telling you to change, or if you just felt like you HAVE to go up and make a choice to follow Jesus, to go up to the front. She responded by giving her life to Christ. It is amazing what God can do in just three days.
[This altar] is to be a witness between us and you and the generations that follow, that we will worship the LORD at his sanctuary with our burnt offerings, sacrifices and fellowship offerings. Far be it from us to rebel against the LORD and turn away from him today by building an altar for burnt offerings, grain offerings and sacrifices, other than the altar of the LORD our God that stands before his tabernacle.
Grace and peace,
Arricka Nowland
