1. This Friday, no Large Group, instead, our annual bonfire! The bonfire is off campus, so meet at 5 PM or 6 PM at Gracie’s Circle for a ride. There will be food. Bring a sleeping bag and camping things if you want to spend the night. Invite your friends!!
2. This Saturday is the “Senior Ball” at Westgate nursing home. Food, games, music and fun times with residents. Meet by Gracies at 1:30 PM for a ride over, or if you can drive others. This is an excellent way of showing God’s love to those who are often times forgotten. Contact Matt Walter or Andrea if interested. If you are able to play guitar, piano or sing that would also be great.
3. Also on Saturday, ImagineRIT festival. InterVarsity will have a table and display in the Infinity quad from 10 AM-4 PM. Come check us out or if you want to help us, contact Stefan.
4. Thursday, May 7th, is the National Day of Prayer. We are going to be joining with our brothers and sisters on campus to pray at the rock for 24 hours. Please sign up for an hour or two here or on Friday at the bonfire.
5. That night there will be a Q&A session hosted by Joel Lathrop, Shijo George, and Nathan Haseley addressing major questions unbelievers have about Christianity such as “Does God hate gay people?” and “What’s different about Christianity?”. More details to follow.
6. Senior Night is Friday, May 8th at 7 PM, SDC 1300/1310!
7. Our last Big House/Praise Night of the year will be outside, NRH fields, May 9th at 5 PM. Come and worship!
8. I am going to Urbana (Lord willing), are you? Registration goes up in price at the end of June. Mark has scholarships, so register now.
It’s not too late to sign up for Basileia, either! Don’t miss out.
Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods! It was the LORD our God himself who brought us and our fathers up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because he is our God.
Blessings,
Arricka Nowland
