Featuring Jay Gilligan
Have you ever seen someone juggle with a balloon?
Launching balls off of impromptu catapualts made of rings and clubs?
Juggling pizza tins while someone shoots nerf gun darts at them?
Welcome to the amazingly fun and creative world of Jay Gilligan where virtually anything can happen,
and none of it seemed possible, until you saw him do it.
We are thrilled that Jay Gilligan has agreed to create a unique performance for the mornng showcase so that kids and families can see just incredibly fun and creative the world of juggling can be. Jay Gilligan has performed in 23 different countries, and is the head teacher of juggling at the Dans och Cirkushögskolan in Stockholm, Sweden. He has toured doing solo and collaborative work with companies such as The Gandini Juggling Project, Cie Jérôme Thomas, Les 7 doigts de la main, Cirkus Cirkör and Cirque du Soleil. There are too many words that only partly describe him. Creator, Artist, Dancer, Inventor, Collaborator, Mentor, Inspiration all of these apply. His work teaching and inspiring, both beginning and advanced jugglers, across the world has changed the way people look at the art of juggling.
Jay will also be performing a completely different routine in the Public Show, so consider this your "power breakfast" of juggling performance then come back after dinner for the evenings Public Show.
