Services
Student Government offers many services to students here at RIT, and we are constantly looking at ways to help improve the student experience. Here is just an overview of some of the services that we provide!
In addition to the services described below, we also offer our wide format printer for use by MSO's. If you are an MSO and are interested in printing banners at a reduced price, please see our guidelines.
Other great student organizations also offer cool services - check out Computer Science House's schedule generator, for example!
Free popcorn is always available in the Student Government office!
Sometimes we even have kettle corn!
Conference Room
The Kathy Hall Conference Room, located next to the Student Government office, can be reserved by clubs and organizations to conduct meetings and other events. For more information, please contact Kathy Hall. The guidelines for reserving the conference room are located here.
Legal Advice
Free legal advice is available for either 15 or 30 minute periods. Contact Student Government at (585) 475-4043 or sgstaff@rit.edu to make an appointment.
Free Vans
Three Student Government vans can be used for free by any student organization with a van certified driver. To request the use of one of these minivans, click here. The round trip distance may not exceed 800 miles and the gas tank must be filled upon return.
Ride Board
A Ride Board is located in the SAU between the Davis Cafeteria and Artesano's that allows students to either advertise as a rider or a driver to another part of the country. This is an easy and safe way to share traveling expenses.
TV Content & Advertising
Free ad space is available through SGTV. Only SG-recognized clubs and organizations can participate. Any promotional videos, student video projects, etc. are also welcome! Please contact sgconmgr@rit.edu if interested.
Voting Application
The online voting application at vote.rit.edu is not just for Student Government elections! Other clubs and organizations can use it, too - find out more information here.
Tiger East End Express TE3
The TE3 provides RIT students a free way to get downtown. There is an afternoon shuttle as well as an evening one. It will pick up students at designated spots on campus and drop them off downtown where they can explore all that Rochester has to offer. The full schedule can be found on the Forms and Documents page.
SG Break Bus
The SG break bus provides RIT students with a ride to the Rochester International Airport or Amtrak/Greyhound stations. This is done free of charge for RIT students and will be done prior to breaks at RIT.
