The RIT men’s lacrosse team advanced to the national quarterfinals on Saturday with an overtime victory over Denison University.
RIT (18-0), ranked second in Division III poll, will host the NCAA quarterfinal game Wednesday, May 18 at RIT Field versus Amherst.
The Tigers are making their 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and second in as many years. The Tigers have made four trips to the national semifinals, the last coming in 1999. The 18 wins by RIT in 2011 is a program record. The Tigers are 25-1 in their last 26 games and are the only team in all of Division III that remains undefeated.
