The RIT men’s lacrosse team advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals with a victory over Amherst on Wednesday.
RIT (19-0), ranked second in Division III poll, will host the NCAA semifinal game Sunday, May 22.
This will be the Tigers fifth trip to the national semifinals, the last coming in 1999. The 19 wins by RIT in 2011 is a program record. The Tigers are 26-1 in their last 27 games. They remain the only unbeaten team in the nation.
