CRP Program at a Glance
Application Process
- Students must have a referral to CRP from their academic department.
- Students must submit an application electronically.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must have both a referral and an application.
- Student’s account must be free of financial and disciplinary holds.
- Eligible students are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
- Limit 50 students per quarter (fall, winter, spring)
Program
- Students’ suspensions are waived for one quarter.
- Students must follow a prescribed program of instruction.
- Students meet once a week with a mentor to discuss progress and concerns.
- Students are enrolled in CRP coursework:
- Academic Strategies
- Time Management
- Other courses students may take:
- Individualized Math Class
- CRP Writing Skills or CRP English
- Critical Reading
- Personal Development
- Self Assessment/Career Exploration
- Structured Study Groups (for math or physics courses)
- Students take one or two credit courses as recommended by their department.
Completion
- Upon successful completion of CRP, students apply for readmission to the department of their choice.
- Mentors write a final CRP report that includes recommendations for the following quarter.
