CRP Program at a Glance

Application Process

  • Students must have a referral to CRP from their academic department.
  • Students must submit an application electronically.
  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Students must have both a referral and an application.
    • Student’s account must be free of financial and disciplinary holds.
    • Eligible students are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
    • Limit 50 students per quarter (fall, winter, spring)

Program

  • Students’ suspensions are waived for one quarter.
  • Students must follow a prescribed program of instruction.
    • Students meet once a week with a mentor to discuss progress and concerns.
    • Students are enrolled in CRP coursework:
      • Academic Strategies
      • Time Management
      • Other courses students may take:
        • Individualized Math Class
        • CRP Writing Skills or CRP English
        • Critical Reading
        • Personal Development
        • Self Assessment/Career Exploration
        • Structured Study Groups (for math or physics courses)
    • Students take one or two credit courses as recommended by their department.

Completion

  • Upon successful completion of CRP, students apply for readmission to the department of their choice.
  • Mentors write a final CRP report that includes recommendations for the following quarter.
