Math Assessment
If you or someone you know is struggling in an RIT math course despite using the math resources available at RIT, then a math assessment may be beneficial.
Math assessments are also appropriate for students who have been away from mathematics for a while and want their math skills assessed.
A math assessment begins with a diagnostic math test to determine areas of strength and weakness. The results are evaluated and an appropriate course of action is recommended. A conference is held to help determine the best approach for the student.
RIT students can make an appointment for a math assessment by writing Bruce.Pennington@rit.edu or calling 585-475-6940.
