Allison Orr

I’m a Computer Animation graduate student working as a graduate assistant in the ASC. I help out with all things math-related, from tutoring in the Math Lab to leading CRP Study Groups and helping with the Individualized Math class.

As a former math major, I really appreciate what the ASC does. I wish I could’ve had access to the resources available at the ASC when I was an undergraduate. Not only is everyone approachable and friendly, but extremely competent in their areas of expertise. I feel that I have a unique role in my job as a student assistant—I can sympathize with students currently taking high-level, demanding courses as well as offering the support and encouragement that most students need. It is extremely rewarding for me to be in a position to give students the academic help and friendly support that I wish I’d had in college.
