The office of Student Affairs Assessment & Research provides leadership to the Division of Student Affairs in the development and management of assessment and research efforts for program improvement, service development, and professional growth. We offer guidance to the Division on assessment issues, manage select Divisional assessment initiatives, and support Division staff in conducting effective assessments and the productive use of data. We also assist division staff members in developing grant proposals and conducting scholarship activities.

In addition to providing training and consultation, we represent Student Affairs on multiple university committees and task forces related to assessment and data management. Student Affairs Assessment & Research supports the progress of the Division through ongoing development of a culture in which strategic decisions and intentional programming are based on evidence gathered from a variety of data sources.

Mission

Student Affairs Assessment & Research promotes a culture of continued focus on enhancing the educational experience of students by providing leadership in the areas of assessment, research, scholarship and grants. We support divisional data-driven decision-making and program improvement through advancing assessment practices. Student Affairs Assessment & Research assists in the planning and coordination of grant and scholarship activities of division staff to enhance our understanding and delivery of high impact programs and services.
