Stress Free at RIT
It’s about that time of the semester where final exams are just around the bend. This can be an especially stressful time for RIT students, as we now have a lot of projects to finish up and exams to study for. With all of this stress and anxiety, it is crucial to minimize stress by taking care of ourselves and our friends to ensure we don’t become too overwhelmed.
Last week, the Student Wellness Ambassador Team (S.W.A.T.) took a big initiative to help out, by hosting Stress Free Finals. This event in the Student Life Center (SLC) had a free yoga class where the first 50 participants received a free yoga mat! There was also free Greek yogurt, a cooking demo, free chair massages (thanks to the Massage Therapy Course (WHWS-004)), coloring, hula hooping, board games, Bow Wow Wellness, and green tea! There were also some performances by Brick City Singers and Proof of Purchase!
Stress Free Finals was a huge success, as many RIT students participated and it just goes to show how dedicated RIT is to our students. For more evnts like this follow RIT Student Wellness on Twitter!
