The Marketing Team
The marketing team at the Center for Campus Life is group of RIT students with a variety of design skills. We are designers, illustrators, and creative thinkers. We are here to help you get your clubs, organizations and events noticed!
We take pride in our work and love to see it around campus. If you have feedback or we miss the mark with your request, let us know. It’s a collaborative process, we need you too!
The Art Request App can be found on the Center for Campus Life homepage (www.rit.edu/campuslife) under Quick Links. You can request artwork for a number of categories including flyers, postcards, social media posts, tickets, LCD ads etc. If you would like to request a different category, select “Other” and describe your request in the description box. Always make the description box as detailed as possible. Information about the event and/or design request will help the Marketing Team better understand what you are looking for.
LCD ads are shown on the televisions of the Campus Center Lobby, Club Center, and SAU above Ben & Jerry’s If you already have artwork designed and would like it placed on the LCD screens, you must upload the appropriate file. LCD slides must be formatted horizontally(preferably in a 16:9 aspect ratio (1920x1080px), but landscape 11”x8.5” flyer will work). If you upload poster/flyer art files (.psd, .ai, .eps, editable .pdf) we can reformat them to fit any type of advertisement. Jpegs and pngs are not editable, we cannot reformat them.
Every club gets 200 FREE black/white flyers per year, printed at the HUB with an Expense Approval Form. Visit the Club Center to complete the EAF.
Art Request Deadlines
Art requests must be filled out 2 weeks prior to the date you wish to distribute. This doesn't mean 2 weeks prior to the actual event. DO NOT put the deadline as the date of the event. You will need to advertise in the days leading up to your event, so please keep this in mind when requesting artwork. The Marketing Team will contact you with questions and proofs. You must respond to emails in a timely manner to ensure that your request meets the deadline.
All designs (flyers, logos, banners, t-shirts, etc.) need to be pre-approved by Alyshia Zurlick (email@example.com) prior to ordering or distribution. Design imagery may not include: profanity, firearms, nudity, copy-righted material, or drug or alcohol paraphernalia.

Top 5 Event Planning Tips
1 Start planning early! 3-5 weeks before your event is ideal (Art requests have a two week turn around)
2 Consider your budget and determine whether or not additional funding will need to be secured.
3 Check with the Event Managment Team, behind the Welcome Desk of the Center for Campus Life, to see if an event of similar nature is being held around the same time so that you’re not competing with other organizations on campus
4 Reserve your space and register your event through the RIT Events Process
