  Entry Procedures

ntramurals offers a wide range of activities in which students, faculty, and staff can get involved. The Tournament League is designed for those who want to play in a more competitive, elimination playoff type of format. There is also a Recreational League, in which league champions will be based on a points system, and there are no playoffs. Each League will be separated, based on skill level, into Division I, Division II, and a Co-Ed division. This will require each Co-Ed team to have specific numbers of men and women on the playing field, depending on the sport.

The following sports will be offered:

  • Indoor Soccer
  • Basketball (3-on-3 in Fall and Spring; 5-on-5 in Winter and Spring)
  • Volleyball
  • Dodgeball
  • Flag Football (Fall)
  • Softball (Fall and Spring)
  • Ice Hockey (Fall and Winter)
  • Ultimate Frisbee (Fall and Spring)
  • Tennis (Fall and Spring)
  • Table Tennis
  • Racquetball
  • Badminton

Some important dates and points to remember:

  • Entry forms will be available in the Student Life Center (Building 23), across from the Main Office window. They will be on your left as you enter the SLC from the Quarter Mile.
  • Simply pick up a form, fill it out, and return it on the due date.
  • Any current RIT student, faculty, or staff can form a team. Alumni, as well as students from other colleges, are not allowed to participate.
  • Anyone who does not wish to form a team can sign up individually. A “free agent” sign-up sheet will be posted on the door of the Intramural Office (SLC 1217). Once teams and leagues are formed, the free agent list will be emailed to the team captains with the information provided so that they can contact potential players directly. We do not place individuals on teams.
  • Entry forms will be available once classes resume for the quarter, and they are due on the second Monday of the quarter at 9:00 a.m. Forms will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Leagues fill up very quickly; once a league is full, it is closed. Teams submitting forms after a league is full will be placed on a wait list.

Anyone with questions can contact Brennan Coon, Intramurals Assistant, at extension 56559 or imoped@rit.edu (Intramural Office, Physical Education Department). Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
