  Learn to Skate

The Learn-To-Skate program is nationally recognized and developed by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). Each session is six weeks long and is held during Family Skate in a spacious designated area. Each lesson is 20 minutes long with 2 hours practice time. The program is specialized for both little skaters, ages 3–5 with their grown-up (Snowplow Sam) and bigger skaters, ages 6 and up. Basic skill levels 1–8 are taught. It’s fun for the whole family!  During the school year, lessons are from 2:30pm-4:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise noted.

All of our Learn-To-Skate Participants will receive a US Figure Skating Achievement Certificate and US Figure Skating Level Badge if achieved.

To ensure you get the most out of your lessons with us, we offer an exclusive “Off-Ice Chat” for first time participants and their families. The Off-Ice Chat is held on the first day of lessons at 1:45pm . You will meet the instructors who will share their wealth of skating knowledge, including helpful hints, equipment information, & lesson format.

Session Fee: $72.00 (for 5 week session) includes lesson, 2 hours of practice time and admission to the rink. Rental Skates are free the first day of classes! After that, skate rental is available for $3 per pair. Make-up classes are available within our offered lesson schedule. Registration Deadline is the Wednesday before your session begins and is on a “first come” basis. You may register by mail or by phone. Questions? Please call 475-2222.
