Reservation Policies

  • Reservations for all recreation facilities are granted through a priority system.
  • One or two hour requests should be submitted via the Facility Reservation System.
  • Groups of ten or more people are required in order for a reservation to be valid (with the exception of racquetball, indoor tennis, wallyball, squash or boxing room).
  • The majority of participants must have a current RIT membership.
  • Group reservation requests for general recreation activities can be made for up to two hours.
  • To request two courts for one hour, contact the SLC Main Office.
  • Group reservations must be made by 3:00pm one calendar day in advance and are accepted no more than seven days in advance. Requests will be reviewed within 24 hours for approval. Reservation requests are not confirmed until final approval has been received via email.
  • Racquetball, indoor tennis, wallyball, squash and boxing room reservations may be reserved no more than seven days in advance and are automatically approved. Reservations of this type are limited to no more than 50-minutes per day.
  • Once you make a reservation, you will not be able to make another request until your first reservation has expired.
  • Requests for more than two hours or multiple reservation requests will be handled on an individual basis. These types of requests should be made ten business days in advance by completing a Special Event Request Form.
