CRP assesses the academic and developmental factors that interfere with student's success at RIT. Based on the results of diagnostic assessment, CRP provides an intensive, student-centered curriculum that can address math, reading, writing, study skills, time management, critical thinking, problem solving, career exploration, and motivation.

CRP is dedicated to student's growth and development. The program is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of students at RIT. Using a holistic approach, faculty work collaboratively to teach students the skills, strategies, and model behaviors necessary for academic success. Emphasis is placed on developing student's self-awareness in order to promote and foster meaningful, respectful interaction with faculty, mentors, and peers in and outside of the classroom.
