Photography has become an integral part of everyday life for college students. From camera phones, to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, which have become enormous image resources in today’s dynamic social media environment. The making of pictures has become so easy [technically], that sometimes it is easy to overlook the need for using photography’s various controls to their best advantage. Participants will be immersed in picture making opportunities as well as image editing using Adobe Photoshop. Students will be asked to operate camera controls such as shutter speed, aperture, time of day and composition as strategies needed in the making of “better pictures". Students will also visit the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film
Participants will need their own DSLR camera with lens. This program is not recommended for photo majors.
*Please note: commuter students will be discounted the cost of early move in fees.
