Sustainability in Action

This program is an introduction to sustainability at RIT and the Greater Rochester community and it is geared toward students interested in the environment, recycling, local food systems, renewable energy, and sustainable development in general. Participants will visit area businesses, organizations, waste and recycling facilities; experience the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes; taste what area farmers have in season; and learn about what RIT is doing to advance sustainability. This program aims to introduce students to the many sides of sustainability, foster community engagement, and heighten awareness of ways to be involved in the RIT and Greater Rochester community. Additionally, this program will offer tools to help reinforce self-confidence, cultivate systems thinking, and strengthen social interests.

 

*Please note: commuter students will be discounted the cost of early move in fees.
