Rochester, known as the world's Image Center, is located in the western part of New York State approximately 585 kilometers from New York City and three hours from Toronto, Canada. The area presents numerous opportunities for recreational activities such as bicycling, hiking, swimming, golfing, tennis, sailing, camping, fishing and snow skiing.
Rochester is the 4th largest exporting city in the U.S., and home to Kodak, Xerox, and Bausch & Lomb. The city has many cultural attractions such as the International Museum of Photography, the Rochester Museum and Science Center, Memorial Art Gallery, Strasenburgh Planetarium, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and several performing theater groups.
