Fall 2017 Test Dates for English language proficiency testing

Admitted RIT Graduate and Undergraduate students: You are already placed in English courses according to your TOEFL or IELTS results. The RIT English test is another, optional chance to try to achieve a higher proficiency rating. There is a $75 fee for the writing, reading and grammar tests (Michigan Test of English Proficiency with the Reading/Writing test).  There is a $50 fee for the Speaking Test.   Testing fees are charged to your student account.

RIT GRADUATE STUDENTS

  • The written test is at 8:30 AM, Monday, August 21, 2017 for graduate students.   It takes approximately 3.5 hours
  • If you need an oral proficiency exam, go the English Langauge Center office to schedule your speaking exam.                

RIT UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

  • The written test is at 8:30 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 for undergraduate students.   It takes approximately 3.5 hours
  • If you need an oral proficiency exam, go the English Langauge Center office to schedule your speaking exam.
