“The most positive parts of FYE were the class activities, discussing and planning how to be better students and discussing first year problems.”

Mission Statement

The First-Year Enrichment (FYE) Program will empower first-year students to realize their academic, professional, and personal potential.

With intentional direction and critical reflection, FYE will:

Provide a curricular plan through coaching and instruction that guides students in becoming independent members of the college community in order to facilitate their academic and personal success at RIT.

Promote the development of personal responsibility and ethical decision making in both local and global contexts.

Develop supportive relationships among students, faculty, and staff in order to facilitate the creation of a college experience that maximizes each student's unique potential.
