Learn about Recruitment Style- there are two different types of recruitment at RIT. Formal recruitment is a structured format that allows you to get know each chapter on campus. Informal recruitment is a less structured and a self-guided format that allows you to attend chapter events of your choice.
Formal Recruitment- Formal recruitment will be coming to RIT in spring quarter 2013 during Week 2! If you are interested in registering for this process, please visit ICS Recruiter Enrollment. Using this Website, you will register for formal recruitment and pay a small, non-refundable registration fee. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to email vprecruitment.cpc.rit@gmail.
Informal Recruitment- Keep an eye out for chapter sponsored recruitment events on campus and online. Event information will also be posted on the Panhellenic Website. Feel free to attend as many events as you wish. If you are interested in a particular chapter continue to attend their events and make your interest clear.
Bid Night- CONGRATULATIONS! You have received a bid, which means you have been invited to join a sorority on campus! Hopefully, if you feel that this chapter is the best fit for you, you should accept the bid. (This is your final decision and all signed bids are effective for one year, which means if you decided on a different chapter you will have to wait one whole year to sign another bid.) If you don’t feel this chapter is your best fit you can respectfully decline.
Bid Signing- During informal recruitment, within 24 hours of receiving your bid you will be instructed to sign your bid at a designated location on campus. During formal recruitment, your recruitment guides will have helped you complete this process.
Welcome to Greek Life! With the guidance of your chapter you will begin your new member education process in preparation for a life time of sisterhood!
