The Greek Programming Board (GPB) began in the fall of 2011. Its purpose is to build a strong Greek community by planning events focused on the five values of Greek life at RIT. The board consists of seven positions: a Director, a Development and Education Coordinator, an Inter-Greek Coordinator, an Outreach Coordinator, a Marketing Coordinator, and two Staff Artisits. Each coordinator specializes in an individual area that allows the board to plan a wide range of events. Some of the main events the board plans are speakers to come to campus, Greek Week, and awards to recognize chapter’s achievements.
The GPB is made up of seven student employees that work in conjunction with the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life to develop programming for members of the Greek community. Past programs include, National Hazing Awareness Week, New Member Education, the Choices Program, Greek Week, Greek Letter Wednesday, Fraternal Excellence Institute, Make A Wish Masquerade Ball, Freeze Fest DJ Dance party, Greek Awards and much more! The Board also looks to partner with individual Greek chapters, groups of chapters, or councils to hold events as well.
