Global Union Elections
Global Union is a Major Student Organization (MSO) , which represents the International students and cultural clubs in RIT. We organize and co-sponsor events and workshops to showcase the diversity on campus. We also work closely with Student Government and International Student Services to address problems of our constituency. This email is to inform you about the upcoming elections for Student Government and Global Union for the Academic year 2008-2009.
It is that time of the year when people have to step up and assume leadership roles in RIT. Global union elections are going to take place soon along with Student Government elections. If you are interested in becoming the President , vice president or secretary of GU 2008-09 , please apply for candidacy by filling up the election packets available in the SG office in SAU ( ask for Kathy Hall). You have to run in teams of 3 (President, VP and Secretary). There are a few requirements which are given in detail in the beginning of the packet. These candidates would be voted by international students, members of cultural clubs and GU member's list. The last date to turn in your candidacy packet is March 28th 2008.
I am open to answering any of your questions. Once the candidates are elected, I would be happy to help them out with beginning their tenure in the fall. I will be working on various (non-event) projects in the summer, trying to solve problems of current students and preparing for incoming students in fall. It was a pleasure serving you and I will continue to give my best for the next six months. Please visit our website www.rit.edu/gu and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Aditya Manjrekar
