To visit Canada, you may need to apply for a Canadian entry visa. Please see the list of countries whose citizens require a visa to visit Canada. If you don't need a visa, just make sure you have all necessary travel documents with you.
Attention: Effective May 7, 2012, the Canadian visa office in Buffalo will no longer offer same-day non-immigrant services. Applicants for temporary visas must submit applications by mail only. No cash payments will be accepted. Please see the Visiting Canada section of the Government of Canada website.
International Student Services strongly recommends that because of the time it takes to receive a Canadian visa, only students who plan to remain in the U.S. for two months should send their passports to the Canadian Consulate. Students who do not have a passport will not be able to travel internationally.
NOTE: THERE IS A MANDATORY 10 WORKING DAY WAIT PERIOD FOR CITIZENS OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES:
Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, and Syria. Also, citizens of these countries are only eligible for single entry visas.
