We are looking forward to your arrival at RIT!

All new students are required to participate in International Student Orientation. This program is designed to introduce you to our campus and community and provide important information of special interest to international students including:

  • Immigration Information on Maintaining Legal Status While in the U.S.
  • Employment in the U.S. (On and Off campus)
  • Health Care and Health Insurance
  • Cultural Adjustment
  • U.S. Tax Obligations
  • Safety Concerns
  • U.S. Social Security Numbers
RIT New Student Orientation

After completing International Student Orientation, new international students are ready to participate in one of RIT’s New Student Orientation programs.


International Orientation Make-Up Session

If you are a new student who missed International Orientation please plan to attend our make-up session:

Saturday, August 22
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Web Auditorium, Booth Hall (7B)

Topics to be covered: Immigration, Employment, American Culture, and an Introduction to Rochester

Refreshments will be served.
