International Orientation

We are looking forward to your arrival at RIT!

All new students are required to participate in International Student Orientation. This program is designed to introduce you to our campus and community and provide important information of special interest to international students including:

  • Immigration Information on Maintaining Legal Status While in the U.S.
  • Employment in the U.S. (On and Off campus)
  • Health Care and Health Insurance
  • Cultural Adjustment
  • U.S. Tax Obligations
  • Safety Concerns
  • U.S. Social Security Numbers
RIT New Student Orientation

After completing International Student Orientation, new international students are ready to participate in one of RIT’s New Student Orientation programs.

Spring 2014 Semester: January 24, 2014
Spring Move-in for New International Students: January 23, 2014

Fall 2014 Semester: August 17 - 19, 2014
Fall Move-in for New International Students: August 16, 2014
