Thank you for your interest in serving the community!

The Community Service Center is your #1 connection to service opportunities both on and off campus. The center helps clubs, classes, and students connect with the community.   Whether you have a few hours, a few days, or the entire year, the RIT Leadership Institute and Community Service Center can help you make a difference.

Here are some ways to get involved:

Community Service Fair
The Community Service Fair is offered once at the beginning of each semester and it’s the perfect opportunity to find out how you can volunteer. At the fair, you will see a diverse range of area agencies and you’ll have an opportunity to meet with representatives from these agencies who need your help.  Drop in!  Visit with agency representatives!  Find out how you can help make a difference!  You won’t be disappointed! Social Change Service Leadership Certificate (SC)
The goal of the Social change Leadership Certificate is to introduce students to the Social Change Model and to give students the opportunity to learn about important community needs through the use of topical workshops and service projects. Students will engage in an interactive two hour workshop to explore the topic area. These interactive workshops will ignite discussion, broaden participants’ perspectives, and spark ideas for solutions. Following the workshop, the group will reconvene to complete a related service project together.
