Frequently Asked Questions about the North Star Academy (NSA):

1. What is the deadline date for me to pay the $200 registration fee?
   
   Answer: The fee along with the application must be mailed by June 30, 2009.
2. If I arrive prior to Orientation, will I be able to stay in a student's room?
   
   Answer: No, however, there are local hotels and motels in the Rochester area. Please refer to this link.
3. Will students be able to leave the North Star Academy to come home on the weekends?
   
   Answer: No, once students arrive to the North Star Academy, they will not be able to leave until the conclusion of the Academy. No exceptions except in extreme emergencies.
4. Will my boyfriend/girlfriend be able to visit me during the North Star Academy?
   
   Answer: No, due to the intensity of the North Star Academy schedule, we do not allow guests.
5. Can I bring my car to the North Star Academy ?
   
   Answer: Yes, however, students are not allowed to operate vehicles during the North Star Academy. The strength of the program is having students work together as a team. Transportation will be provided when needed.
6. Are families allowed to have lunch and dinner with their student during North Star Academy Orientation?
   
   Answer: Yes, however, the program fees will only pay for the meals of NSA students.
