The North Star Academy, a North Star Center program, offered its first courses in August 2003. The Academy begins as a three-week summer academic enrichment, confidence, and community-building program. The program consists of credit-bearing courses and enrichment education and is available to first-year students who have been accepted by RIT and paid their tuition deposit to the Institute. The program accepts 40 students, on a first come, first serve basis.

Admission

Admission to the North Star Academy is based on the submission of a complete application and a non-refundable $300 registration fee. The $300 fee is the only direct out-of-pocket expense incurred by the student. This $300 fee is completely separate from the RIT Admissions fee and will be refunded if you are not accepted into the Academy.
