We need a fantastic new cover for the New Student Survival Guide 2012-2013. This is THE guide to life at RIT! Every incoming freshman and transfer student will receive this handbook containing all the essential information about orientation programs, getting started, academic matters, student affairs matters, and more. Not only that, but the winning cover will also be used for our Family Survival Guide and Calendar! Cover specs and instructions are outlined below.
Submissions are due February 15, 2012.
- Eligible contestants are current RIT students only.
- Document Size: 11 inches by 17.25 inches (front and back cover 8.5 inches by 11 inches, .25 inch spine)
- Bleeds: .125 inch

- Final files should be packaged/compressed and include any/all files (if applicable) photos, fonts, artwork, and logos. Included files should be in CMYK color mode. High resolution is preferred.
- Winning design becomes the property of New Student Orientation.
- Collaborations are welcomed. Prize will have to be split/shared by the collaborating winners (New Student Orientation cannot split the prize).
- Submissions are due February 15, 2012.
- First, second, and third place winners will be selected by the New Student Orientation Team.
- Winner(s) will be notified by March 1, 2012. Winner(s) will be cited in the final publication, which will be released in summer 2012.
