Move in to RIT Housing
Tuesday, August 28 is the official move-in date for transfer students; however, your housing will also be available August 30 through September 2 between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Transfers are not permitted to move in on Wednesday, August 29 as it is freshman move-in day only. If you are participating in Transfer Orientation we encourage you to move in on August 28.

If you arrive between 5:00pm and 11:00pm on any of these days, please go to the 24 Hour Public Safety desk in Grace Watson Hall for assistance. If you arrive after 11:00pm, you will be on your own to locate alternative housing for the night at a local hotel.

Transportation to Campus
If you are arriving at the Greater Rochester International Airport, the Amtrak train station, or the Greyhound bus station, you can hire a taxi to transport you to campus. At the airport, the taxi pick up is located outside the baggage claim area of the terminal. At the train depot and bus station, taxis are usually parked just outside the station. If a taxi is not available, the staff at the ticket window can call a taxi for you.

Shuttle Service – On-campus
RIT Parking and Transportation Services operate ADA compliant shuttle buses throughout campus. Please see their website for detailed information and schedules.

Wheelchairs
We do not have wheelchairs available on campus. If you would like to rent a wheelchair, you may contact Southside Medical Supply (585) 271-7141, Monroe Wheelchair at (585) 546-8595, or Fonte Surgical Supply at (585) 338-1000 or (800) 836-2130.
