Life At RIT
The Director of the Parent and Family Programs office is Chelsea Petree. Prior to RIT, Chelsea worked for the University of Minnesota Parent Program for six years as the Research Assistant and Assistant Director. In this role, she led the office’s initiatives in research and assessment, event planning, and volunteer opportunities, along with acting as a direct link to parents. Chelsea received her Ph.D. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota in 2013 with an emphasis on parent-college student relationships.
Chelsea has been nationally recognized for her research and innovated programming for parents and families, and has presented at conferences for organizations representing student affairs, parent and family programming, mental health, learning abroad, and emerging adulthood.
