Fall, Spring Semesters
Welcome! I am Alice Miller Nation and I am thrilled to begin at RIT as the associate director and chaplain to the Catholic Newman Community at RIT. Along with Deacon Phil Yawman and Deacon Wil Johnson, we invite you to come along as each of us make our way on this journey of life God has given us.
I, along with my husband, parent three high school and college students as well as our exchange student daughter from China who is with us for three years. Life is full and fun, sometimes loud, but always filled with adventures.
I received my M.A. in Adult Christian Community Development from Regis University in Denver and have ministered in Montana, Michigan and New York during the past twenty nine years. It is in finding some time each day in quiet that I am able to find energy and passion in sharing God’s Good News with others. I have found great meaning and lived a rich life ministering to God’s people. Beyond the many gifts, of ministry, I enjoy quilting and gardening.
The Catholic Newman Community at RIT is a community rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition. We invite you to participate in opportunities for spiritual growth through worship and prayer, faith formation and reflection/conversation as well as service and outreach.
We invite you to grow with us as we build community, share the Eucharist and share our goodness with the world in which we live through retreats, service opportunities as well as community building and reflection groups.
You can find us in the Center for Religious Life, located in the Student Alumni Union, just off the “quarter mile”. Stop by!
