Christopher Samp, RA (EPD Area)
It has been a great pleasure to work for Residence Life at RIT. I have worked as a Resident Advisor for two years in the Ellingson, Peterson, and Bell residence halls. Now I am working in my second year as a Community Advocate for people living in the apartments. The leadership experience has been phenomenal when working with a diverse group of residents.
It is important for Community Advocates and Resident Advisors to build an open and safe community where people can come together to share and work together at RIT. I am glad to know that I have been a helpful guide to many residents with my resourceful knowledge in fostering an open communication and offering resolutions to conflicts. It was wonderful planning and attending the educational and social programs with the residents. Without our help, where can students find some fun on this brick-filled campus?
