New Area Director Arrives at RIT in December 2011

Hello and thank you for having me! My name is Brandon Kotler and I am the new Area Director for Perkins Green, Colony Manor, Racquet Club, and the RIT Inn & Conference Center. Having started here just this past December I am very eager to get to better know you, the residents of RIT, and make a positive contribution to life here at the Institute. My calling is in Residence Life for which I’ve been a part of for nearly 7 years; beginning at Hobart & William Smith Colleges before spending time at Delaware Valley College and then Sonoma State University. After some time in California I wanted to come back east and work with some of the most ambitious and brightest students in the country…so here I am at RIT!
As your Area Director I hope you see me as a resource to further bolster your living learning experience. Residence Life is here to ensure that your social and residential experiences contribute to a worthwhile and engaging education. The relationships you make and nurture here at RIT will last you a lifetime. In my role as Area Director, I strive to provide all residents with the tools and resources necessary to foster healthy and happy campus connections. Whether we meet through an outreach to ensure you’re doing well, or through a student conduct hearing making sure we fully understand school policy, I’m here to see you succeed.
