Bill Nye Horton Distinguished Speaker

Scientist, inventor, comedian and author, Bill Nye is best known for his role on the PBS television series, “Bill Nye the Science Guy.” The Science Guy show was awarded 28 national Emmy Awards in five years, and Bill personally received seven Emmys for writing, producing and performing on the show, including “Best Performer in a Children’s Series.”

Jimmy Fallon Comedian

Jimmy Fallon first garnered attention in 1998 when he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live and quickly became an audience favorite for his impressions of Jerry Seinfeld, John Travolta, Adam Sandler and others. Fallon created many memorable recurring characters during his six-year stint on SNL, and made history by becoming the co-anchor of the popular segment “Weekend Update” alongside Tina Fey. He has appeared in other television roles, including the Emmy award-winning miniseries Band of Brothers, has hosted several MTV awards shows, and earned rave reviews as guest host for David Letterman during the summer of 2003. Fallon has appeared in several feature films, including Almost Famous and Fever Pitch, and will star in the comedy The Year of Getting to Know Us, due to be released nationwide in October 2008. He was recently named successor to Conan O’Brien as the host of NBC’s “Late Night,” and is due to take over the show in 2009.
