Important Information from Housing Operations Regarding Co-op and Study Abroad

Are you going on co-op or studying abroad winter quarter? If you must move outside of the Rochester area during winter quarter due to co-op or study abroad you may maintain your RIT housing contract and assignment while you are gone. Your rent for winter quarter will be reduced to one-half the quarter’s rent of the type of housing you are assigned to. At the end of fall quarter you must return your key to your housing to Housing Operations; however you may keep your items in the space you are assigned to. To make this arrangement, you must contact Donna Black at dkbapt@rit.edu no later than November 15th to request this special rent rate for winter quarter. Your reserved housing will be available for you to move back into for spring quarter on Sunday, March 6, 2011. Please contact Housing Operations if you have questions – housing@rit.edu or 475-2572.
