New Staff In The Apartment Area

New to the apartment area staff this quarter is Andrew Beverly, Area Director for Perkins Green, Colony Manor, Racquet Club, and the RIT Inn & Conference Center. Andy supervises the Community Advocates who work with these complexes as well as the Peer Advocate at the RIT Inn.
Andy joins us after working as a Community Enrichment Coordinator (CEC) here at RIT in Ellingson Hall, where he worked for just over a year. Before that, he completed his Masters Degree in Student Affairs Administration at Michigan State University where he worked as an Assistant Hall Director. Prior to Michigan State, Andy worked as a Resident Coordinator at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University where he also served as a Resident Advisor.
His job as an Area Director is to supervise the Community Advocates that live in each of your complexes (and who may knock on your doors to introduce themselves or bring you treats), co-advise the Off Campus and Apartment Student Association (OCASA) and to meet and help you with all of the things that may happen during your journey at RIT.
He enjoys working for RIT and loves the innovation that is promoted here. From his time working in Ellingson Hall he has enjoyed experiencing NTID and Deaf culture while learning American Sign Language (ASL). While his time in the residence halls has been both fun and challenging he is looking forward to working with the on-campus apartments and all the students who live there.
