Words of wisdom

Meet Myra Greene, assistant professor at the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences. As a working artist, she has been making photographs since high school and knew then that making imagery was her calling. Remembering her time in college as an undergraduate, she recalls, "being in college you are exposed to a greater and wider world. Sometimes these new ideas and perspectives really open your perspective to life. Sometimes, they do not parallel your lifestyle. Either way, it is important to expose yourself to as many things as possible and to be inceptive to new ideas". She obviously loves what she does and acknowledges that, "there is a combination of things that are necessary to succeed in what you love. Passion, tenacity and patience are all cornerstones to the success". And then she adds, "but also a little luck and connections never hurt either!”

RIT School Ring Unveiled

Student Government is at it again creating new traditions and ways to celebrate the student experience at RIT: The class of 2007 will be the first to sport RIT’s unique and contemporary school ring.
