Program Dates

Saturday, August 17th 2013 (Move-in and Family Welcome Session) through Tuesday, August 20th 2013 (All students attend RIT New Student Orientation beginning Tuesday evening)

Session Topics

• High school to college transition
• Organizing to Meet Academic Responsibilities
• Disability Disclosure- Why and How
• Using Social Thinking Skills to Build Connections
• Self- Advocacy and Accessing RIT Resources

Activities

• Campus Tours: including Disability Services Office, Test Center, Campus Bookstore, Study and Stress Havens, Dining Services
• On and Off Campus Social Outings: including trip to Rochester's Strong Museum for Egame Revolution exhibit
• Fall Schedule Walk-Through
• New Student Orientation Check-In and Resource Fair

Registration

The registration fee of $225 includes early move-in fee, meals and activities. Registration works on a first come, first served basis and spots fill quickly. Registration will close on August 1 or sooner if all program seats are filled.
