Services offered by the RIT Student Health Center are available to all students. Full-time undergraduate students at RIT are charged a mandatory quarterly Student Health Fee which is billed and paid along with tuition. Part-time students, graduate students and students on co-op are not billed automatically but may choose to pay the quarterly fee or a fee for service at each visit.
The quarterly health fee covers unlimited office visits and many of the basic services students may need. There are additional charges, payable at the time of the visit, for immunizations, some supplies (i.e. crutches, splints), certain laboratory tests (i.e. rapid strep, rapid mono, urine pregnancy tests) and prescription medications purchased within the Health Center.
The Health Center accepts payment in the form of cash, check and Tiger Bucks. We are unable to accept credit or debit cards or to place charges on your student account. A computer is available in the waiting area which students may use to transfer funds from a credit card to their Tiger Bucks account.
The Student Health Center does not bill insurance companies directly for services provided. Students are given a receipt which they may submit to their insurance company for reimbursement, if applicable.
