Health Education

Health promotion and disease prevention are integral parts of a sound, complete health care delivery system. The Student Health Center incorporates a comprehensive health education program into its care for students. Although coordinated by the Health Education staff, health promotion activities are sponsored by the entire professional staff of the Student Health Center.

The health education and clinical staff members of the Student Health Center are available for:

  • Formal and informal classes
  • Confidential individual counseling for personal assistance
  • Special presentations for academic classes or campus
    residences
  • Health information

The Student Health Center staff offers health education programming in the following areas:

Contraception
Eating Disorders
Nutrition
Sexual Assault
Sexually Transmitted Infection
Smoking Cessation
Stress Reduction
Supplements
