The RIT Women's Hockey Team will be hosting two charity games during their tribute to the United States Armed Forces.
Special "Camouflage" jerseys will be worn for both games against Buffalo State. All Proceeds for this Military event will go towards benefiting The Wounded Warriors Project. The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "honor and empower wounded warriors" of the United States Armed Forces. "The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs."
The "Camouflage" Jerseys from RIT's games vs Buffalo State were
auctioned off on-line to benefit The Wounded Warriors Project.
The RIT Women's Hockey team will wear their "Camo" jerseys when they face off against ECAC West Rival Buffalo State on Friday January 20th, 2012 and Saturday January 21st, 2012. The puck drops for both games at 7:05pm. The team plans to sell commemorative T-shirts the week of January 16-20th on the campus of RIT at the SAU Building. T-shirts will also be available prior to the games at the Frank Ritter Memorial Arena on RIT's campus. Admission to both games is Free.
100% of all the proceeds raised from the Jersey auction and T-shirt sales will be donated the The Wounded Warriors Project.
