Interactive Learning Grant Info Vice President's Office > Interactive Learning Grant Info

In our endeavors to work collaboratively with faculty/staff across the Institute to create learning opportunities outside the classroom and promote school spirit, the Student Affairs Division provides funds to support interactive learning activities.

These funds can support field trips, gatherings, discussions or presentations which occur outside of regular class periods and promote a richer, more collegial interchange among faculty, staff and students. These programs might occur off-campus, in the residence halls or the Student Alumni Union, or in a faculty/staff member's home.

Our goal is to encourage more interaction and community building among students and faculty. Funds can be used to support the cost of food that is an integral part of the program, as well as transportation and materials needed to conduct or host the event. They are not intended to support primarily social gatherings.

Interactive Learning Grant Application

If you are interested in requesting support for an activity, you can do so by submitting the enclosed one-page request form to my office.

Up to $400.00 is available for each activity. If at all possible, please submit your request at least three weeks before the intended activity.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the appropriateness of an idea, please feel free to contact me at 475-2267 or e-mail mbcvsa@rit.edu. We look forward to working with you to enrich your teaching and community building efforts with students.
