Advocacy

Staff members at the Center offer both formal and informal support and advocacy services. The Center for Women and Gender is one of the identified places to come to discuss harassment and discrimination experiences. Advice, counseling, and conflict resolution services are available. These services are available to all members of the RIT community (faculty, staff, and students). Each incident is discussed confidentially and options are reviewed for the individual to consider.  Faculty and staff members should meet with the Director of the Center for Women and Gender.

Staff members are available to meet with students (by appointment or walk-in) to provide support for an issue that is of concern.  The Center for Women and Gender staff members can be an Advocate for students in Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution hearings.
