The purpose of the Council is to stimulate interest and promote understanding of RIT within the community, to provide an educational program about the Institute to its members, and to be of service to the university. The Council is committed to participating in a variety of projects that advance the interest in and support of RIT. Annually, the Council funds several scholarships and awards for women and donates toward tuition scholarships for RIT’s childcare center, Margaret’s House.
